Default Long day and a new best, D1SC/SDCE

First time to a 1/4 mile track today. Went to bowling green and not only are they running the NHRA sportsman nationals today but corvetteforum.com has their cruise in/race as well. Got there at 7pm and wasnt able to make a pass until 10:30. I was able to make two quick ones and had to wait until they were about to shut of the lights at the track to make 2 more - got home at 5am.

The SDCE setup worked perfect, boost was the same every pass, its great not to worry about belts any more..

Ran a 10.73 @ 129 (pulled it into 3rd instead of 2nd), next pass wea a 10.58 @ 128, next was a 10.50 @ 128, then ran a 10.43 @ 130 (1.514 60').

Thats on 16 degrees of timing (super safe quick non-dyno tune), ~13psi at 6500rpm, 1200' DA and 3581lbs raceweight on 11.5x28 ET streets which are only 8.9 inches wide. It was spinning a bit but track prep was good so it didnt suck too bad. 01 Z06 cam and LS1 intake still. Need to get another 150lbs out of this thing, couple more PSI and put some real tires on it and I think in good weather it will go in the 9s - or pretty close to it Here is a vid of the 10.50 pass, didnt get the 10.43

10.4@130... Man if I could have only ran those times with it. The SDCE set up rocks Glad you were able to run 13psi with it now that you have some fuel to support it.
Throw more timing at it, and get that weight down a bit more. Looks like 9's are not to far away with another pulley swap
Thats awesome Kevin

Thanks Bruce, I still wish I had bought a Camaro - I swear there is 200lbs of lead in this car hidden somewhere

Still need more fuel J, its right on the edge still with the single 255 and BAP even though the front mounted regulator helped a whole bunch. I think a dual 255 or maybe a single 420 Bosche is next. Not sure if you can use the 420 in the tank though. Best thing to do is lose weight, I still have a stock seat, battery, K-frame, door bars and a few other little things that will get a quick 100lbs but overall I'm happy with how its running. More camshaft and the 3.4 pulley would work well also

BTW, here is the 10.43 slip.

Awsome KP..... Time for a 3.4" blower pulley and some ET Drags and a bigger cam. If you are serious about going with a bigger cam mine will be up for sale since its a blower grind and we dont think the new turbo will like it much......
230/236 .592/.602 114+4 Comp XER.
Ill give ya the good buddy discount if ya want it........

I didnt pick up anything with the LS6 intake on my old P1SC car, if I get one cheap I'll put one on but its not big priority. I may go up some on the cam, not quite that big Kyle Maybe a 222/228 115 or something just to give it a little more power, having stock rods (with ARP bolts) I really dont want to wind it up too high.

I had 50/50 93 and 100 unleaded John. I had no time to get it on the dyno and I just wanted to be safe, I was just watching the wideband going down the track. If I could get more fuel in it I would feel safer with 93 but at 11.8-12.0:1 a/f at higher RPM I dont want to push it.

2000silverbullet: Car has a 9" ford rear with an aluminum center, spool, drilled 35 spline axles and a 3.70 gear.

Congrats man! Always feels good when it all comes together. Hopefully I'll be riding your *** at Bowling green one day next month. Maybe I'll see you out there. Where do you live or were you paying a visit to Ky?
