Default exhaust for my 15psi 640rwhp camaro ss

my 2000 comaro ss has long tube headers and offroad Y-pipe with supercharged 640rwhp what is the right exhaust for the car so it has great flow but not to loud. I don't like borla, but showed interest in the magnaflow exhaust what do you think.
If you have sugestions let me know what model and part # if possible

Thanks
John

I think the Hooker won't be as loud as the Magnaflow. both flow pretty good.

Its gonna be sorta loud but sound tough no matter which way you go. If you want to quiet it up some more run hi flo cats.

got any times on your ride?

I would stick a stock catback on it and use an electric cut-out(s) for when you want to race.

sounds like a high dollar vehicle you have there. might want to keep it that way with a GMMG or a Corsa maybe?

I lose ~20rwhp with the hooker and it is pretty quiet, plus you can drop the muffler/tailpipe assembly off in 10 minutes at the track. Bad news is its not stainless (except for the tips) so its not 'high end' but they work and the car will sound decent.

Magnaflow is nice, kinda loud but personally I dont like the look of the tips on a camaro but thats a subjective thing. Its quite a bit louder then the hooker but its all stainless. I also ran an ATR cat back for a while and had good luck with it and it was pretty quiet and its stainless. 4' mufflex is one of the better flowing 'I-pipe' setups but the single outlet/flowmaster one I had was very heavy and loud and not stainless.

Lots of choices out there and asking about exhausts is kinda like asking about cams, headers, wheels, etc - lots of different opinions.

That's what I would do too.

Spintech sucks - major hp loss there.

With my last supercharged setup, it made 542 rwhp through a 3" Hooker Aerochamber cat-back. I removed the entire cat-back and it only gained 5 rwhp.

We couldnt dyno my car with the stock SLP cat back, it was plugging up the air fuel meter with sound deadining material on every pull. I now have the Hooker cat back with a 3" cut out, with the cut out open the car gained 1 rwhp and lost 4 rwtq.

I have a hard time believing the "exactly" 20 Hp loss.

If I was wanting 100% flow, I would run whatever catback and an electric cutout.

I run dual exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers and dumps, I'm sure I lose 10rwhp but I didn't have time to fab up dual cutouts.

a buddy of mine had a 6.0 swap with 4" mufflex with a 4" magnaflow instead of the spinteck and it sounds badasss and if its too loud then put a bullet in the i-pipe just my .02 but if iwas u i would get a factory ss cat-back and dual electric cut outs looks-sounds stock but racetime flip the switch and wham!!! lol

would something larger than a 3" exhaust be necessary for a streetcar only making 6-700rwhp?

"Only" 700 rwhp? With a single 3"? Yes, it would benefit from more.
