That IS an awesome time on street tires.

I, too, am in debt behind much of my stuff: part of the supercharger, part of the motor, part of the rearend and the tranny.

I'd be screwed if I lost my job.

I sure hope the economy looks up.

But, look what a bankrupt company can do to ya:

NextCard went bankrupt and cancelled my card.

It was due the 30th of the month at $25.00 per month.

I was paying $35.00 to $55.00 per month about the 15th of the month to make sure their crazy "gotcha" rules didn't bite me (you know, higher interest rates, astronomical late fees).

I have it set up on-line to make this payment. I wasn't buying anything else on it, so I don't open the letters. MISTAKE!

Well, the scum bags changed my payment date from the 30th to the 1st. What does that mean, you might ask, since I was paying on the 15th, anyway? Well, my 15th payment went to the 30th cycle. But, I immediately owed another payment for the 1st!

I happened to open my next bill to check the balance and the thing said I was late. They then charged me a late fee and made my payment $80.00 per month. Not understanding what had happened, I thought the suckers had lost track of a payment (it HAD cleared). By the time I got up with them, and they explained what they were doing, they wanted $99.00 for the next payment, for it not to be late. Now, THAT's money on TOP of the normally scheduled payment I had been sending!

Wake up, people! The common man is voting for the WRONG set of people!

Small business, middle to lower class, they don't give a f& about.

If you take care of you finances like a man you shouldn't have any bankruptcy problems.

You go ahead and vote for your liberals and let them spend all your cash that you seem to not have on all the worthless **** they want.

Run your life like a large business and watch how everything works out.

I'm really sorry that you're now in a financialy insecure position now, but I don't see the reason I should be forced to suffer for other's mistakes.

Oh, wait! You don't have a job! Uh... student.

Boy, you don't know diddly about life. Come see me after you wipe your snively nose. You think you are intelligent, but I see the results of your silly idealogy every day... you are just too thick to see how you are used.

You think they are helping you?

You are being buffed and liking it.

I think Magnus357 makes a good point. Relying on bankruptcy to bail you out in the event of losing your job is poor financial planning. There is a thing called unemployment. If you're barely making ends meet now maybe you shouldn't be spending thousands of dollars on a car. Obviously it isn't the most responsible thing to do if you're finding it hard to pay your bills. Bankruptcy should be a last resort. I don't see how anyone would or could justify abusing it.

I feel bad for anyone that puts their faith in a system like this. Wake up. This is man's inability to rule over man. You're just duped if you argue one man's system over another...

Well, first.. this guy jumped all im MY sh!$ when Mellow and I (and a couple others) were joking about filing bankruptcy. He's rude. I'm 46 years old. If I've managed to handle myself without bankrutpcy so far, I think I'm doing ok. I served this country on three submarines, overseas and in differnt parts of this country. Whe I was done, they took half my Military Retired Pay and gave it to an ex-wife who almost got me kicked out of the service using drugs and spending her days getting fat and watching soap operas. That's a Democrat "gimme" for her. I have no love of Democratic philosophy.

Second, I made a statement about the Republican lawmakers. I don't happen to be enthused about Democratic lawmakers, either... their politics stink, too. I'm a registered Libertarian.

While Democrats tax and spend and take away our gun rights, Republicans give a right to big business (bancruptcy, off-shore tax havens) while they deprive the common man these same benefits.
Democrats support lowyers that litigate EVERYBODY to death.

Both parties are screwed... and they have the system wrapped up where commmon sense does not prevail.

Take drugs for instanse. I don't use drugs. But, Prohibition didn't teach Dems or the GOP ANYTHING! You can't keep grown people from getting what they want. What making substances illegal does is create gangster organizations, more crime, inflated prices for the products and make little countries that see a profit potential richer. It is also lost revenue on something that can be taxed. It also keeps people who want to get off it from getting help.

Drugs should be treated like alcohol... illegal for children, treatment for those who want off and taxes raised for the health problem it creates. All the problems are there no matter WHAT you do, but, without the compensation to counter it.

If they made bankcuptcy more difficult for the companies who overcharge us and mismanage their profits (paying executives and CEO's millions while ignoring company expenses, middle-management and workers), but, at the same time, they made it more difficult for the common man, it may be fair. But, as it is, it is dumb AND unfair.

Do you think individual bankruptcies are what is taking your tax money? If so, you can't see further than your nose. When an individual bails out, it may impact his creditors (who are bleeding us dry), but when a company reneges, the government often ends up taking our money and helping them recover... all while they are firing the workers. And the common people who had pensions or are owed by these companies get the shaft.

Don't jump me because we made a joke about bankruptcy. In the process you just revealed you need to get to that class in college that teaches you to look deeper than that pie-in-the sky you walk on. You don't have a DAM thing to teach me!

OK... I'm done.

DAAAAMMNN!!!!!
You guys are funny, some of u need to lighten up. I could see the joke that was being made.
Black LS1T/A don't even bother with these dudes.
We are all in the same boat, the LS1 FI boat so "can't we all get along"

Cool28, Instead of going with a 12bolt you should go with the ford 8.8 rear that the dude from Louisiana is building for our cars. Check it, its on the drivetrain board if you haven't seen it already. Its cheaper and it is a bullet proof rear. Are you gonna go with a Trans brake on the TH-400? What kind of converter and stall?
Hope this brings it back on track.

Man, with a service in the military like that, I could've sworn you would have been a die-hard conservative. Keep in mind guys, that it isn't just the politicians, it's who FUNDS the politicians....Not only that you have outside influences in the forms of organizations....Christian Rights Organization comes to mind. Still though, I'd rather play for the 'publicans than any liberal any day. They MAY help out the common man, but most of their policies do not benefit me, the young, in college, white christian....(supposedly we have everything) I have no job ....and yes way off the subject
