Default FMIC for STS questions

So I wanna go with the FMIC for my STS kit. A couple questions.

1) Who sells a complete bolt up kit? I've heard of TRT selling one but i don't know who else.

2) How much should they cost?

3) Whats involved time wise for installing one yourself vs. what should it cost for a shop to install one?

Feel free to post pictures of your setup. I think it would be cool to check them out on other people's rides. Thanks for the help in advance. I'm trying to figure out if I want the shop whos gonna tune my car also install this FMIC while they're at it.

Synergy down in Fremont has a bolt on setup they sell plus they would be the best place to get your setup tuned as well. Rick down there has tuned many STS cars. One stop shop to get everything you need.

I would definetly check them out. Heck you may even be able to get some sort of package price out of them combining the FMIC along with a tune.

oh re-read your post. Marcin is tuning your car huh. Well in any case Synergy still has a bolt on setup for you. Building it yourself is totally doable as well but will take alot more effort. Just do a search and you will find many pics of the various ways to do it.

I used TRT's FMIC on a 2001 SS. The fit was great and Billy and his staff are extremely helpful and professional.

My kit from Synergy was a little over 1400.00 with the Mondo BPV. Thats a kit that comes 100% complete and ready to bolt on.

ounce you realise how easy the front bumper comes off you

will be set!

pull your head light assemblies but be carefull to not break the

clips on the headlight frame brakets!

and then the 2 bolts your looking to remove to get the

front bumper off will be right out in the open!

then pull all the push pins and your almost there!

its not hard just time consuming!

but can definatly be done in a weekend!

You dont have to pull the headlights to remove the nose, but he is right. Its not a big deal to install at all.
