Default Thoughts on this Intercooler...

What do you guys think of this intercooler to go on my Procharger F1C GTO. I prefer the vertical bar/plate design and it will allow me to retain my stock piping also.

Let me know...

It is overrated in flow if you go by the Bell Intercooler and/or Spearco ratings. My Bell core is slightly bigger (23Wx6Tx4.5D) and is rated at 1100cfm with a 1.5# pressure drop, at 10# boost.

But it's not too far off and the quality looks good. The price is excellent if the workmanship is good inside and out. I have seen some Chinese intercoolers that had loose pieces of aluminum fins inside them waiting to get eaten by the motor, so be careful.

I've never heard of this company, or at least their logo on the IC.

The configuration is way better than the really wide ICs with a lot fewer charge air tubes - some of the OBX ones only have like 12 tubes and are higher in restriction. This one has 35! Much higher internal flow area.

Yeah. I figured all of that. Its the perfect style for what I want and the proper size.

You think it will be able to flow 800-900RWHP? I think I am probably going to give it a shot. Hell people have had good luck with other cheap alternatives and this one is certainly not that cheap!

NICE! If it's built well, it looks like a good deal...

Na thats good enough for me. I am going to go ahead and order mine tomorrow probably. It looks like a top quality piece and I think that IC with teh assistance of methanol will be more than enough for my project!

Thanks again.

Looks like a good one! I calculated mine to be good for between 700 and 800 rwhp, so it's at least close.

s10ls - thanks for the pix...

Semi-hijack: I noticed they offer this one for twin turbo applications, and was curious if yall had any comments/observations on its design. Trying to avoid having to Y the charge pipes before the intercooler.

FUroundeye - makes sense to use the IC as the Y - as for the outlet you'd have to bring it all together at some point and this gives you some choice spots to mount the BOV.
