Default Oil Feed line question with Pic.



Above is how I ran my oil feed line. Is this correct or was I supposed to Tap directly into the block?

I drilled the hole through it for sure. Yeah i PM Jer and then post it here and in my build-up thread. OVERKILL. I searched for a pic for a while and decided to start a thread for future searchers.

Do you happen to know the ID of that oil line? Did you use any restrictors in the line? I fabbed up some steel tubing but I wonder if it is too small.

I am using -4 line. My oil line fitting at the turbo has a resrictor in it. I think it's a 1.6mm orifice in the fitting.

What piece are you refering too? The one I drilled and tapped was part of the oil pan.

Yep the Repsol is back there. I have been tossing around the idea of selling it. I dont ride anymore. Its has been sitting on a rear flat for 6 months. I have new tires just havent put them on. PM me if interested.

the peice is bolted to the oil pan

if you drilled /tapped it while it was installed, you should remove it and clean the aluminum shavings from behind it asap.

go easy its small like 12 or 8 ft lbs i think

go with mighty 1/4 ratchet and tighten till snug


once again go easy i snapped one off not even thinking was just like la la tighten snap **** tap it out

I hand tightened them until I thought that it was tight enough. No need to try and kill them .
