Default 2nd Press Release of another Ohio Car

Been about 6 months since we posted any build-up pics. That's primarily due to the fact we are slow . So here are a few pics, still looking to be complete in Spring 07'. Tom (2001WS6VERT) and I just finalized the motor details with W2W last week . The first pic is from a couple weeks ago, the second pic is the most recent, the third is just showing the hardtop semi-installed and the front-end and hood fitting perfectly. Still have to re-design the passenger hot side to accomdate the dry sump pulley, that will be done shortly so we can finish the welding.

Still along way to go when you only work on it 1-day a week, but we'll get there, we are not going to rush it.

Mark

I love that layout. Just when you think you have seen every possible one! Looks great!

Interesting exhaust setup. I thought most race associations frown on downpipes exiting before the wheels and facing outward.

Looks nice though. Your mini-tubs are rusty though. I like the A/W unit up front too. Is the ice tank going behind the seat or is that still up for debate? Makes me want to sell my 67s and start working on the 88/101 setup.

I also noticed you liked Dan Saitz's TT Probe (went site snooping ).

I think the exhaust will plumb farther back, right Mark? All I can say is that the other drag radial cars at Milan had better look out next year We are starting to get some beasts lined up

It will be a "trick" transition to Aluminum then dumping just behind the front wheels. Mini-tubs rusty...this is 18 months of slow progress, mini's went in last year . Ice Tank will be in the back with the fuel and I have no idea who Dan Saitz is.....

Jayson we met at Milan the other night, we were helping debate your rev limit issue...sounds like you got some good advice here on the board.

Anyway we won't be out till next year sometime, might take till midyear to get confortable in the car to race.

I can relate to the rusty tubs. I've got enough dirt and dust on my car that the local farmers are trying to plant crops on it.

Saves quite a bit of weight, probably 30 lbs or more. We are not finished yet, but it doesn't look like it will be that bad.

Car is currently in Forest Park right now at Tom's shop, It may come back to my house (which is where it started) before it's complete. That's 15 miles north of there.

nice job mark and tom, its coming along well.
if you guys would stop making your street cars so fast youd be able to get this one done.

hey how are you transitioning your exhaust from steel to aluminum, i was thinking about doing that to mine after the downpipe. my 4" semi exhaust is pretty heavy.
