Default Boost guage: Mechanical or Electical

Just bought a Fuel pressure guage and now I am looking for a Boost guage... but is it necessary to have an electric vs. manual Boost guage for the LS1's?
What would yall recomend?

Mechanical is cheaper by far, and works fine. I went electric because I found a used one, and I wanted the warning light capability.

Mechanical are great, but my next one is going to be electrical and digital readout.

These gauges look great in day or night

Think about this though, if a electronic one like the BS3 log messes up, your fuel is probably messed up too and you have big problems. Most electronic boost gauges are just a map sensor and little chip to read and display the results and I'd imagine they would be pretty reliable.

So it is really no more of a pain in the *** to run a mechanical than an electrical, its arguably more accurate, and 1/4th the price? Correct?

Im getting a mechanical one because I don't have an extreme set-up that will allow me to set it for "kill" if I see a Dodge Viper next to me at the light.

I've just just got my Incon TT running yesterday and getting all the details/tuning worked out and I'll go from the 5 psi now to 7 psi until I can upgrade my shortblock a year or so from now.

If I had a killer longblock then I might get an electric controller to run "xx" normally, and if needed be able to set it to "zz" on the fly, but as it is 7 psi is my safe limit.
