Default Eaton M112 Supercharger

The Corvette C5/C5 Z06 supercharger kits from Magnuson use the Eaton M112 supercharger. That being said, how many different M112 superchargers are there? Often times M112s can be had cheap unless the specific word "Corvette" is in the description.

That doesn't suprise me at all. The intercooled Eaton MP112 superchargers can be found used or as OEM parts all over the place for way cheaper (5 to 10 times cheaper) than a complete MP112-based supercharger kit for a LS1/6 powered Corvette. Its aggravating.

I would be totally onboard if someone made an intake manifold that would accomodate two smaller (and cheaper) blower units from a stock application... like a supercharged 3800 or something like that.

The MP112 is the unit used in the Magnuson setup for the Corvette. Trouble is, I've got a line on a MP112 unit from a different GM. I wish the intake manifold for the LS1/6 to accommodate the MP112 unit could be bought seperately so I could but the MP112 cheaper elsewhere and put it in the manifold myself.

thats gay...dont u hate companies that try and be slick, i guess its all in the marketing of things, good job magnuson. alot of pple dont know what the hell things are or how they can be purchased individually and put together...frustrating to think that if we could do it ourself it would make everything so much easier..only other major thing needed is a friggin manifold, then the rest is cake

it doesn't quite work like that. You are paying for the hard parts for sure, but also the R&D that goes into each component and ultimately a complete kit.

I have no experience with Magnacharger blowers personally so I won't comment
on them. However, I can tell you that Eaton M112's are hunks of **** IMO.

Magnusons MP112 is about 20% more efficient than the Eaton M112, the difference being in the design of the housing. Same rotor group. The new High Helix rotors and further improved housing ala' MP122HH will be a nice step up in power. It's made approx 750hp on an engine dyno thus far.
