Default Having great results with Procharger on C6 Corvettes

We have done two automatic C6 cars recently. Ordered the C6 tuner kits with no special options. Both cars were completely stock and dyno'd right at 325rwhp on our Mustang chassis roll. Very good numbers for stock auto cars.

With the addition of long tube headers and the basic C6 procharger kit we hit 475rwhp with both cars. This is not with a "ragged edge" tune either. We, as well as the customers, have been very happy with the results.

Only other mod made was fuel injector upgrade, but still on stock pump.

I'm assuming you're using D1's. How much boost & timing if you don't
mind telling. If so, don't sweat it.

No belt slipage? Or doesn't that occur at that low of boost?

I thought the procharger kits were making 6 psi and generated 525 rear wheel horse. That horsepower number (525) was rated for a manual trans, so it makes sense that the auto would develop less to the ground. Very good results for 5 psi. The 6 psi unit on the new Z06 blew the motor in the development stages at ATI's test facility. Maybe 5 psi is the new standard for being safe and reliable on the LS2/7?

LS2s seem to like boost more than LS1s. Those numbers are comparible to Magnacharger numbers at the same boost level, which is about equal to the P1 anyways. Gotta love these C6s

That's because the C6's use an LS2 engine which has a higher compression ratio. Why bother with long tube headers though? That's quite a bit of extra money when you could just as easily max out the stock bottom end on boost alone.

it helps it breath more. try blowing on a straw then blowing on a garden hose. which one would you choose if you were getting filled up with 6 psi. lol bad analogy

Engines are big air pumps....more air in needs a way to get out.

I think the kits are rated for 6psi, but we only actually see about 5psi on the dyno. We log boost off the intake on all runs.

a higher compression ratio is actually a bad thing when it comes to boost..also the LS2's come with LS6 heads and they are a bigger motor which means they will make more power on less boost
