Default New Turbo Project

hey all, i'm in the process of planning a turbo setup for my trans am. i've been doing alot of good reading so far and have a pretty good idea what i want. I was wondering if i should keep or change the heads i currently have on the car (Patriot S3) and what size cam is good for a FI application (i curently have the TSP 231/237). I'm thinking of going with either the GT35R turbo or the Turbonetics TC76, tial 44mm wastegate, and still looking at the intercoolers. What size injectors should i run, i curently still have the stock 28.8 but i was thinking of 42#?

How much power would you like to make? Is the car going to mainly be a street car, street/strip or turn into a race car?

Big difference between the two turbos. If going single turbo, dont get the GT35.

I agree, if your going single, don't waste your time and money on a GT35. Go with a TC76.

There you go ! The 60 lb. injectors are good for about 117hp each. If you do the math, that's a rough total of 936hp. To be on the safe side (80% IDJ) you could figure a high estimate of 20% deviation for wheel HP and that would total 750rwhp.

I think a single pattern cam in the 224 up to 226 duration will make more power across the board over a stock cam, and won't need to spun super high. Remember if you get crazy with the cam you will end up spinning your bottom end pretty high.
