To AC or Not to AC
So I was messing around with the car today(still not running) and that AC compressor and lines was kind of bugging me. 391 LS2 T88(T4 flange) phamspeed tubular kit modded. Should I trash the ac? How much does all of it weigh? I'm not too concerned about weight because I weight in prolly about 3700-3800 anyways. The car is a street car. Will be driven on the street a good bit. TH400 w/ all the good stuff goin in soon. I'm not a big ac user anyways, but don't mind having it on the really hot days or if a girl is riding with me. What should I do? Winter is coming soon anyways. How hard is it to take out? Just want to know what you guys would do.

Im in the same boat as you, I think I used the a/c twice this year but am moving down to Atlanta in a few months and I know I will use it a lot then. I say if you rarely use it and have another car with a/c to drive ditch it. I figure if its hot enough outisde that I need the a/c I probably dont want to be drving my turboed car much b/c the iat's will be high.

IMHO if you have the option to keep AC, why wouldn't you? If a strip only car I could understand. If it is a street car, unless you live in Alaska definately keep it. The weight isn't really enough reason for a street car. Alot of people specifically look for a kit that keeps it. All it's gonna take is one hot summer with your girl in the car dressed up and going somewhere nice and you will regret it. Again it's just my opinion.
