Thumbs up 408/stock heads/88mm turbo at 24 psi = 920 rwhp

920 rwhp dyno run

Anthony, who owns Fast Track Performance down in Louisville Kentucky, had us tune his Trans-Am. He has a 408 with bone stock heads on it! With a 88mm turbo at 24 psi, it made 920 rwhp on our Mustang Chassis Dyno!!! This was through a loose converter and a turbo 400, to boot.
I want to thank Brent and Jake for staying late Thursday night til 9:30 to tune this beast. Bob

Thumbs up

Thanks! Our best pull was with two guys in the trunk, which helped the slicks to gain some traction. We even have tire rubber on the ceiling from this car!!!!! Bob

Dang nice numbers for bone stock heads! Why are they in a race car though, lol? Just curious..

The "racecar" chassis was bought rolling, I put the only thing I had around in it to get it going. This winter/spring it will get a motor and turbo set-up that is more fitting. Then I'll put this combo back into my street car.

It is a t4 88, one of the main reason for keeping stock heads. Again, just throw together set-up, doesnt work too bad

Ah cool, makes sense! Congrats on the big numbers too! Didnt mean to offend by calling it a racecar, just noticed the firewall/cowl area.

Stock 5.7 or 6.0 heads?

Then why the hell should i buy heads for my 408?!!!!

Very nice numbers, but how are they keeping the heads on the block? I though stock casting cant do boost very well.

T88 is a greddy 78MM turbo... Since its a 88MM turbo, Im assuming that its a large T6 framed GT47-88. BTW the numbers arent that impressive for a 88MM turbo that is supposed to support 1500rwhp.

Because heads will let you make this power with less boost and will produce less heat. Of course you will have the proper exhaust 1 7/8 on a stroker
