Blower Suggestions for 06-07 C6 Vette?
Just wondering what options are out there for 06-07 C6 vettes? My dad is looking to purchase one but would like to slap a blower on it also. I told him I would find out some more info...
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Thanks for the replys guys. What are your opinions on IC/non IC? It looks like the Maggie might have a kit for it but they say you have to get an aftermarket hood. Any other opinions as far as ease of install, power, or quality ie: lack of problems? I'll check those SC's out and let him know what I find. Thanks.

I had a maggie on my car to start with. It lasted 4 month and got boring. No top end pull. Falls on its face at 5000rpm. Probably enough power for most guys. Still going to run you close to $10K by the time you get the hood installed and painted. The STS twin turbos are also a nice option. Keep the stock hood. Probably $8-9K installed after you add the extras...boost/fuel pressure guages and pilliar pod, boost a pump, misal. BS stuff..Most are not hard to install, just time consuming. I'm right in the middle of a motor swap and considering switching to the APS twin turbos. Very nice kit with good results. That would be my first choice for a C6 if I had the money...
The STS base kit is $8399.99 but usually can be had on sale for $7800
Tha APS kit is $8995...
Here is a good read..

Also the ECS Paxton kit is $6495 100% complete with fuel system and 60# injectors including a three year warranty from Paxton. That includes every nut and bolt and a front mount intercooler. There are no major body modifications necessary and nothing else needs to be purchased for a start to finish install.

Has anyone just gone the route of throwing an LS7 into a C6 yet? You would think that if you're paying upwards of 10+K for a SC or Turbo then you would just buy an LS7 and throw that in there.

LS7 is going to run you $15K or more installed..And with a cam and headers your only making 550-580rwhp...Cheaper just to build a 402 with good heads and cam. 500rwhp easy and under $10K

We started out at 323 rwhp on this bone stock C6 Corvette, and we are now at a consistant 470 rwhp. What a gain! 20 more rwhp than what a new C6 Z06 just did on another Mustang Chassis Dyno identical to ours. If this C6 had headers and a free flowing exhaust system, this Corvette would most likely be over 500 rwhp! The nice thing is the gas mileage will still be really good, and this car can still be a daily driver! Bob
