Default Has anyone run a set of L92s with boost yet?

Im in the market for a head for my iron 370 with the 4.030" bore. The big flow #s, low price, and just under 70cc chambers makes this an option for me it seems.

I was looking at the AFRs, but it seems iwth some mild porting (mostly on the exaust) these heads will be pretty close to the flow of the AFRs. What im worried about is what intake can i run? The truck intake isnt ideal for high HP, and the car intake is STILL not availabl apparently!?? Just wondering if anyone has run these yet on a boosted app, what they did for an intake, and how much boost/hp have they held up to? Seems like theres still not very many cars running these yet.

My plans are a D1 or possibly selling the D1 (still brand new in box) and geting an F series blower.

Well i guess someones importing the car intakes, they are ebay for a buy it now of 350 bux.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB..._promot_widget

Another currently available option seems to be the 4 BBL carb and an elbow. Intakes not a bad price at all (lil under 300 from GMPartsdirect PN 25534401) , not sure what an elbow costs though (2-300?). Seems like there are indeed some interesting options available afterall.

The D-1SC is definitely going to be too small with all that flow! Bob

Is this pretty much the same scenario with the LS7 heads (on a larger bore)?

Would heads flowing this well not really benefit from a D1SC, or would ~200 additional rwhp be obtainable with this blower?

We wont have our Turbo car running for a few months, so I cant give you numbers on a boosted L92 yet.

Are the L92 heads like LS7 heads, in that both are a different exterior size than an LS6 head? Meaning you cannot bolt LS6 headers to either?

no, they are the same exterior size than the ls6 head.. so are the ls7s, and the header bolt flange is the same on all lsX

There is a pic of an L92 vs LS7 on this thread:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iv-internal-engine/499059-ls3-l92-info.html

The L92 head is on the left, LS7 is on the right, despite what the caption says. The LS7 head is a little taller. I verified this with Jason @ Katech.

I still haven't been able to get a definitive answer as to the height/dimensions of these heads compared to the LS1/LS2/LS6 heads here:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iv-internal-engine/606742-overall-height-ls2-ls7-l92.html

LS7 heads have 12 degree valve angle, L92 are 15 degree. My guess is the LS7 head is slightly taller to allow for clearance for the 1.8 rockers and the valve standing up straighter. As far as I know, all other exterior dimensions are the same.

I am planning on using a pair of L92 heads on the 2007 C6 with around 10psi of boost from a TT setup. Car should be together by the end of Dec.

I'd still like to know if you could get any significant boost out of a D1SC or T-trim with the L92 or LS7 heads flowing as well as they do. D1SC is rated at 1400cfm, T-Trim at 1200cfm. I know this stuff is still pretty new, any speculation?

Quick Reply: Has anyone run a set of L92s with boost yet?
