A 76mm on a 346 will spool, but you talking a high rpm spool depending on exaust AR and also depending on cam and head combo. Idealy you want to limit it to a 67mm for a quick spool with great midrange power.
As longrange4u said, its just a matter of spool time VS top end power,
Front mounted or rear mounted.

Zombie's car wasnt choaking on a 76... he was choaking on the .81 AR.... his 370 wasnt enough to spool that 408 the way he had it setup. There are also loooooots of contributing factors when you remote mount. Front mounting has less factors to deal with when it comes to turbo spool. You also have to look at what kind of racing the Zombie does... and what he uses his car for (daily driving). You have to take that all into account. But yea... IMHO a 346 is too small for a 76GTS in the back unless you take into account all the "spool factors" and you address all of them throughly.

That was what Jeremy (Zombie) ended up doing.... went the the .96. Hell the 76GTS is rated at 1000HP I believe. You can also upgrade the 76GTS exhaust wheel and bump that rating to 1100HP.
I have had to address lots of issues with my setup. I am hoping that the 88mm wont be too bad out back.
