Default Anybody put a Rotrex in an F body yet?

Just curious. It seems like it would make a nice sleeper setup out of a near stock / bolt-on car. Really the only car I've heard of one on is W2W's Nova. Otherwise it seems like they market it mostly toward the trucks.

As far as I've gathered, the units available right now aren't really well-suited for huge displacement builds (*cough* most LS1 buildups *cough*). That's why W2Ws build had two of them, and did you notice all the fab work on that thing?! packaging would be a BITCH on an F-bod! Now, that's not to say that you couldn't do a single setup, you'd just have to keep the displacement down in order to keep the thing from falling on its face in the upper rpms.

This is somewhat an old thread but W2W seems to have some sort of Fbody drive kit for mounting a single Rotrex. I wish they had pictures or said if AC needed to be removed. Seems like you would need the coil packs reloacted, AC maybe removed, no EGR and maybe the oil fill cap would be in the way. The largest Rotrex supports around 650hp I guess, which would seem just fine for a middle ranged LS1 but definately not big enough for an all out stroker or anything. Has anybody found any dynos with the Rotrex superchargers?

Wouldn't the biggest of the problems in an Fbody be the fab work for piping? Considering the Fbody kit would be pretty much bolt on.

Thats 650hp at the crank if all is perfect, at absolute max effort on the blower. W2W expected in the mid to low 500's to the wheels on a F-body.

Not enough in my opinion!

When the come out with a larger unit I will be interested.

I also hope they come out with a larger unit but for right now, 400-500rwph would be pretty crazy for me. Granted the desire for more power is always there but anywhere above 400 rwph would keep me busy learning to drive it well.

I'd be happy with 500 to the wheels if the price were right. I just want a quick, reliable street car. I don't intend to put a roll bar in the car so even 500 rwhp is more than I could use at the track.

Maybe I need to volunteer my car up for some development work. W2W isn't too far away from me. Plus, it finally has a 12 bolt in it now so I might even be able to use 500 rwhp without breaking something.
