Default Superchargers vs. Turbochargers

hey guys, do me a favor, let me get a legitimate argument of what is actually better...i'm not interested in poll numbers, i just want to know the facts, and i already know the answer of "it depends on the application," this isnt for me, its for proof to someone else...

Turbos are more efficient and deliver better torque and HP

First pick what style powerband you'd like... Then you can get your answer, as one will be better suited for it than the other...

As a general rule, for the most area under the curve it's really still equal since both a positive displacement supercharger and a twin turbo set-up with the turbos on the small side can deliver an insane amount of area under the curve almost immediately.

If we're talking about efficiency, that's another story.

This is an arguement that has no correct answer and will only spark a heated debate.

Look all the way up to the big dog racecars and see what's making insane power... Both. So therefore it really does depend on your application as to which is better.

Turbos are more efficient and deliver better torque and HP
This is an ignorant statement and shows no thought into application. I have a decent arguement towards the supercharger making more power if we want to go down that road. Yes they're not as efficient, but damn easy to make insane numbers still.

There is no absolute winner unless you have a goal to reach, then compare them to said goal.

So, the statement saying that they are more efficient was absolutely true. You said it in your post as well. The heated debates come from the "and deliver better torque and HP" part of his statement. Not ripping on either of you, but just making that clear.
