High boosted applications (16-22psi) Spark Plugs
What kind of spark plugs are you running? I used to run TR6's until 13psi with no problems, but now im looking at 18-20psi so im not sure which plugs to go with or how many degrees colder i should aim at.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Im using a NGK PFR7B double platinum in mine. More usually found in the Subaru/Jap scene.
Working fine for me gasketed plug, even if its supposed to take a tapered seat. Who cares
I had used TR6's before that, with no problems.
I just wanted a colder plug before I did my standing mile run, and they have been in since mid-july, some 2500miles and 20+ passes plus a couple of short handling tracks and 1 standing mile.
Car drives great.

Most Japanese turbo cars come with platinum plugs from the factory.....
In fact, everyone Ive ever come across did, Nissan, Subaru, Toyota....Im sure they cant all be wrong.
Although long service life is an important factor. And perhaps others will disagree, but a platinum plug will produce a better spark, and require less engergy to do so..
But when regular cheap TRx plugs are working fine, no real need to change. I just used what i could easily get locally, and I know are good plugs.

I ran TR6's up to 17psi without a problem. Just bought the next step colder plug. BP7EFS stock number 3526 at Advance Auto. $1.98 each...there is no "TR7"...but this would be it if they kept the TR designation.

Good to Know i might try those just because next time....
because the NGK plugs are so cheap i dont care to even try and keep them in the car for to long....i just replce them with an oil change or when ever im headed to the track...
