procharger vs turbo sound thread!! Hey guys, a couple of friends and I were just talking about this earlier. What do you guys think sounds more intimidating, Turbo or procharger????

It depends on what you are doing. At idle I think a supercharged car sounds better because how loud the wine is but when you get on it all you here is the exhaust. If you are getting on the car I think the turbo car sounds better because you here the turbo not the exhaust. Just my opinion.

lol NIICE, yeah I have heard them all and I think the turbo sounds the meanest while spooling. Although, I have heard some pretty loud supercharger whining too, sounds frickin sweet!

At idle, at a stop light the blower whine is the implied threat of impending loss. At full throttle getting passed by a jet engine you never heard coming is sickening. I love em both.
Seriously though, out of the list I'd pick front mount turbo. But nothing sounds badder than the whine you get from a roots blower (especially on a top fuel car)

Turbos sound great when they spool but you never get to see anyones reaction to it unless it's a passenger. With the supercharger you get to see heads jerk around from car guys when they hear it, I especially love it at cruise-ins because the car generally gets followed so people can get a look when you pop the hood.

Ill take a blower over turbo. Turbo sounds cool at full spool, but thats the only time you hear it, but no traction = no spool... blower = boost all the time.
