Default Do both LQ4 and LQ9 heads offer 317 castings with 72 cc chambers?

Looking to get 317s to knock down the compression of my blown stock LS6 motor in my Z06, but I want to make sure that i get the right heads that flow as well (or darn close) as stock 02 LS6 heads and of course with the 72cc combustion chambers.

What 317 heads do I need that flow very close to LS6 heads and have the 72 cc chambers (317 LQ4 or LQ9 heads).

317 is the number you need...it will always be the right head and aluminum

317 and 035 are both 6.0 heads. 035 is the newer version with the newer style mold, the 317 is the sand cast version. They are pretty much identical, and both have the 72cc chamber you're after.

But do all 317 head casting flow as well as stock LS6 heads or not?

Any difference in strength with the different casting methods?

According to the Cartech book, the LQ4 heads are the same as the LS6 heads with a 72cc chamber.

The port vol. (cc) is the same (210/75) for the LQ4/LQ9 and the LS6. The LQ4/LQ9 heads have a 71.06cc Com. Chamber vs the LS6's 64.46cc

OK, some guys on the corvette forum are saying that 317 LQ9 castings match up peferctly to a 4.0 bore size but I thought they matched up perfectly also with a 3.905 stock bore on a stock cubed motor.

Can we get some clarification please!
