Vortech oil feed hose replacement?
well last summer my car blew the head gaskets and there is oil/antifreeze in the blower oil feed line and i would like to replace the line with a braided steel line. where can i find something like this that would connect to the blower fitting and the fitting on the block for the oil? when the hose was new it would leak alittle oil from where the ends were pinched for the screw fitting so the vortech lines are cheap anyhow.

If you have the space, try to get large radius hose fittings to keep from restricting the oil flow. Worst would be a close-fitting 90-degree 1/8th or 1/4" NPT elbow - best would be a straight -4 to NPT adapter to a 90 or 120 hose end. Also take a look at removing the brass screen from the Vortech oil nozzle and replacing it with a good in-line filter.

Of the filter side:
You can just see the right side of the blower towards the left edge...
The hose comes up from behind the water pump from the hole above the oil filter, but I don't have a picture of that side.

I don't change it - I just open it and clean it once a year. It's got a screen element in it from Earl's. Yes, the fittings and hose get pricey but I value reliability above all and am willing to pay for it in certain areas, like oiling and fuel.

Oh, and I don't like the little filter inside the Vortech nozzle because it's little and something stupid like a piece of shop rag or even plastic could clog it and I suspect the blower would be toast before I heard anything strange. The Earl's filter with the same piece of debris would lose like 4% of its filter's surface area - you would never notice a thing.
