Default Can you clock a d1-sc?

Mines mounted and pointing almost straight down. I had to 90 into it but that causes the pipe to hang really low. The d1s I've seen mounted seem to be at more of an angle. Is there any way to rotate it so it points more towards the passanger side of the block? And if so, can I do it while it's mounted or do I need to take it off?

Yes it can be clocked. You most likely will need to remove the head unit to access all the allen bolts.

That blows, just when I thought I was so close to starting it. Oh well, I might just finish it the way it is and rotate it for clearance when I feel like wrenching again. Thanks for the help.

Yes you can... We clocked my F1-C and moved it one bolt. From what i understood is that you can only go one bolt hole to the left or right and no more than that because it can move the internal pump away from the oil if you clock it too much.

Good luck

By loosening the perimeter screws around the volute, you can clock it just about anyway you want.

Yea, the outlet part will spin 360 degrees, doesnt matter at all where it points, just will have to move the allen screws around. There is no gasket or anything there, you shoudnt even have to take it iff the car.

Rotating the compressor housing has nothing to do with the internal oil system.

Like others have said, the compressor housing can be rotated 360 degrees.
