Default My good luck has ran out...

Last weekend during the Supra nationals I was beating on the car HARD... and boost maybe running a little higher then usual lol and I noticed the car sliding a little bit on a top end pull, then it proceeded to run a little hotter babied it home to find coolant sprayed all over under the hood. Overflow tank looked like a M-80 went off inside of it

I let it sit all week and confirmed today. I did a little experimenting to make sure it wasn't knock causing it, sure enough no knock was seen and it still lifts the heads. Time to tear it down. I guess I can't complain about a solid year of beatings it took at that level. The damn 346 from hell is still kickin though... gotta make up my mind if I pull it out now for a refresh or just swap gaskets......

Was fun though

Actually my sensors are two years old and C-16 or sunoco supreme (112 R+M/2)hasnt kiiled them yet. That shitty track-tech and turbo blue stuff will kill them in an hour though, its like 1/2 lead I think

I run VP fuels... I have ran a ratio of 3 to 2 gal of 109 and c16 and it owned my sensors in about 20 gallons of gas.

Its probably the MMT in the 109 doing the owning not the C16, like I said, same pair of wideband O2s for 2.2 years in my LC1s and the BS3 has seen nothing but C16 or 112 leaded sunoco since its been in the car and all the sensors still work fine. Unless you are talking about the narowband sensors, they dont work long at all with leaded. I used to use the 104 unleaded sunoco mostly but that stuff would leave everything brown from the additives and kill the stock sensors pretty quick as well - thats one of the reasons I switched to the BS3 to get rid of the narrowbands O2s.
