Default What exhaust housing for a 402 w/76mm?

Trying to get down to the problem of low power. I have a 402 with a turbonetics 76 and a .96 exhaust housing. Is it possible the housing is to small? I am only running 5 psi right know and it is low on power. My motor is a 8.5 to 1 motor so I am not sure if I am exspecting too much out of it at this boost level. I can 't even break the street tires loose at 30mph. Now granted I am running the heavier 4L80E now but my stock ls1 and 4l60e trans would cook the tires at that boost.

Come on...don't expect much at 5 psi! Get your car tuned and try running more boost. If you look at the compressor map the T76 at 5 psi wou'nt supply much over 40 ppm which would net you 400 fwhp.

Even at 5 psi, it should still do pretty good. Measure the exhaust pressure then get back to us.

Jim I will have to check on the exhaust wheel and I have not dynoed it. I have been street tuning with a wideband. I also noticed it seems to like timing. So far it held 20-22* with not even a hint of knock retard. I am running it a little fat right know with it at 11.0 to 1.

The cam is a .600/.600 232/230 115+2 and the converter is a Yank 3000.

Had the same set up on my stocker and it ripped. Ran really well so I know it can do it at this boost level on smaller cubes. Just trying to figure out if it is my heads/compression or a turbo/ exhaust pressure issue.

With 8.5:1 you will need to turn it up.
