just wanted to know what you guys think would be the best turbo setup for my car would be. I have a 2000 camaro z28 a4 stock motor and gear/drivetrain. looking for mid 500rwhp and where to get them. i am not a big fan of the rear mount turbo kits but really havent seen anything as far as turbo manifolds for my car. thanks for any help

there are a few sponsors that offer setups so check around a bit. But in the end its all about what you want...are you more for twins or a single? Do you want to retain your a/c? Will this be on the stock bottom end? And most important...How much are you looking to spend???

Im kind of in the same boat as you but im putting my ls1 into a chevelle. I want the same 500-600 HP but im going to drive the car a few times a week prob 60 miles round trip to work. What ive been told my others though is to get like a turbonetics tc72 run about 5-8#s of boost. A turbonetics WG and BOV. Use truck manifolds. 60 LB injectors and a good tune should get u 500-600 range. Hopefully this helps. I think all said and done you will have 3-5k on this kind of set up depending on your fab skills.

How do you figure. I can tig and mig so you could get a turbo for around a g then bov and wg say 750 for both. All the tubing a couple 100. Innercooler a couple 100, injectors 400. Theres a few more things like clutch fuel pump and so on but if you were on a budget you could build your own turbo kit for 3-5k. Ya nothing done to the internals of the motor but im just talking the turbo set up. AS you can tell in his post he is not looking for some sick kit just something to get the car over 500. nuff said.

Truck manifolds are out if you want to keep the AC. I know I build them everyday. A simple log manifold setup would achieve your goals and allow you to keep the AC while maintaining some sort of budget. Like said above, its all up to what you want and what your budget will allow. Feel free to shoot me a PM pr give me a call and we can discuss your goals.
