Default Thinkin about a Procharger

Im currently building a 408, and I think I want to make it blown. AFR heads, ls6 intake probably because I already have it, aeromotive fuel system, but I have a few questions.
To make around 7-800rwhp which blower should I go with?
Also do I need to go FMIC?
Will the stock computer be able to work with a combo like this?
the car itself is set-up caged, full BMR suspension the works, th400 it has a coan converter now and ill send it back out to be re-done for the blower.
But can someone answer those few questions for me, and im sure ill think of more.
Also when you are in the process of BUILDING the combo how do you determine injector size?
thanks

If the motor is still being build, what compression level are you shooting for? Now is the time to determine that. Once the pistons have been installed, it is a lot harder to lower the compression level.

To feed 700 to 800 rwhp, go with a F1, F1, or F1-R. A D1 might be able to hit that with all the right other parts, but it will be at its limits. An F series blower will still allow for some growth.

Stock computer can handle it, but a SD tune will be much better and easiler than a MAF based tune.

To support a 700 to 800 rwhp, you will need some type of cooler for the intake charge of the SC. Without one, the intake air temps will be way too high. You might be able to get around not having a cooler with a butt pile of methanol and C16 race fuel.

make sure its closer to 9.0:1 than 8.5.... it makes a big difference in the end... also i'd go ahead and get either the f1c or the f1r blower... along with a high 23x or low 24x duration cam... A FMIC will not like being driven at the track with a F1 series behind it... maybe think about A A2W if its a track car...

I would strongly suggest a turbo setup. There are too many limitations with blowers and once you have a nice turbo system built, the options/upgrades are limitless.

Plus, youre not restricted by a piece of rubber.

Pick the F1A upgrade and our front mount intercooler upgrades. The F1A will make all the power you are looking for. Bob

I would agree with that only if he does a turbo setup. You would want a quicker spinning assembly that a 347 or 370 would have. On a SC setup, definately a 383 or 40x. You want the extra power and torque the long stroke crank will produce when the SC has not yet reached into its power band.

every one knows each set up has its own hassles... the one thing i dont like about turbo setups is they are hard to stage at the track and to get constistant.... sure they make OOGLES of power but i prefer a consistant launch and a easy stage...

Aerospace dual caliper rear brakes, two step, good converter. (Neil Chance)

Consistency is based on driver at that point.
