Headin to the Dyno
I have an appointment to get my D1SC on my 99 Trans am Dyno tuned tomorrow. I am very excited. Ive had it on for almost a month, not very "driveable" right now. Alot of flat spots, hesitation and my rear bumper is black from the exhaust. It has a predator "safe" tune in it. That I cant say is all that safe. LOL It feels like turbo lag, then kicks in around 3000 and pulls to redline.
Anyway, Fbody central in Baltimore handling the chore. Will post dyno slips hopefully Sunday or monday if all goes well. They are converting to the 2 bar tune!

I have Dynamaxx Stainless headers with their highflow dual cats. A Borla exhaust with it set wide open. I have a BBK intake, 45lb injectors and a Walbro fuel pump in the tank.
So far the highest boost has been 10.2, I think it will be a little more after I get it to spin up better in the lower end.
The ATI is a 8 rib set up, with dual intercoolers.

430 at the wheels, not what I was expecting at all.
I dont understand why it was so low. But, it runs ALOT better, a 100 times better.
They said they only got 8lbs of boost on the dyno. I may need a new belt, I have seen over 10 driving it before on the street.
I am going to call and talk to them more tomorrow.

First I want to say I am no way bashing Fbody central. They run a class act.
I am running a stock engine with Dynomax headers, with twin high flow cats, and a Borla exhaust with it wide open. I have a BBK intake and MSD wires. Of course a D1SC with Twin 3.5 intercoolers and the large K&N air filter. It is a six speed car with a Centerforce clutch, and the clutch mod has been done. Stock gearing in the stock 10 bolt rear.
Jason did mention some things to bring up the power, like removing the cats and an exhaust cut out.
I guess my biggest question is. If it only made 8lbs of boost on the dyno, and I see over 10 on the street. What kind of power difference would the extra 2lbs give me?

good luck
just make sure they load the dyno to your cars whait and thin do the AFR and the timing
if not possible just keep 1 to 2 points safe cos once the whait of the car plays effect in the real world and u are tuned to 11.8 lets say you will fined your self at 12.8 of more and that is not to good
