Default I just inherited this!!

The bad news is, my Grandpa died a week and a half ago. He didn't have a ton of stuff to pass on but this car being one of the things he cherished...I just had to keep it in the family instead of selling it. He use to work for GM so this was a custom order package he put together back in 1987. I guess the most unique thing about the car is that the shifter is on the column instead of on the floor like most GNs or Turbo Regals. For being 20 years old, it still fires right up and runs well. I'm going to give it a tune up b/c it's knocking at WOT. I just sea-foamed it and it seemed to help in the lower RPMs...just not up at the top. I have some cosmetic things (very minor) that need to be restored...and then I'll look into pushing 25+ PSI

Anyhow, I've loved this car forever so I'm glad I finally was able to get my hands on it...we'll see how it goes .

That brings back memories. I used to have a chrome-bumper '86 Regal T-Type. Mine was blue as well, but not two-tone. It was all the darker color, like your upper.

Treat the car with respect! It has survived a long time. You honor your grandfather when you do so.

Have fun, and congrats!

Ya, it already rolled over 100k miles . He kept up with it though and took really good care of it. Like I said, there are a few things that need some work but I can't complain about it seeing as how it's 20 years old!

Sorry about the loss but I'm sure he would be much happier knowing the car will be in the family and looked after instead of ending up in an estate sale or something.

Love the old Ts and GNs, have fun with it.

Also sorry about your loss, and rejoice in your gain.

Best place to get info is: www.turbobuick.com

That's the best GN & T-type place around.

Based on the condition, I'm betting on the lower mileage number.

Sorry about losing your grandpa, but that is a nice piece of history that he left you for a memory.

BTW, all the T-Types had the column shifter. The GNs, being "sportier" shifted on the console.

I don't think that's all true. The base Regals had column shifters I believe but the T-types (majority of them) had it on the floor like the GNs. Every T-type I've seen has always been like that. Just run a search on Autotrader...almost all of them have console shifters.

Just on base production though, this is 1 of 1035 Regal Limited T-types made EVER.
