Default this is EGR correct? (truck manifold)

i'm wondering because i am told this is off of a 2002 5.3
according to the truck manifold sticky above, 2002+ wont have EGR...? or am i mistaken?
if i am mistaken, what is this port for?
if it is EGR, then what years do i need to be looking for, that dont have it?

TIA
Steve

That is egr. I have a set of 01 manifolds with that port open, 03's with it there but not drilled and 04's that dont have it at all.

OK, so '03 is ideal (cast closed) and '04 is even better (not even present).
the rest can just be capped off, not ideal but doable for sure.

now does anyone know if different years are what plays the specific role in whether or not the port is open, closed, or not present at all, or does engine model also make a difference? ex. 6.0 2004 wont have it at all but maybe a 5.3 2004 would?
i'm splitting hairs but am curious.

thanks all

All of mine are from 5.3's so I believe it is more to do with year than it is engine size.

thanks for the info!

2007 model should work too, as far as bolting up to the head without issue?
