Yes sir, you can. Some people argue about lsa/duration, I'm old school I guess... with turbocharged engines, especially rear mount, higher (numerically) LSA and lower duration, preferribly reverse split WILL spool up a turbo better with less reversion. I can somewhat vouch for this, I went from a stock LS1 with hotcam, LT/ORY with the same turbo setup to an LQ4 longblock, stock cam, manifolds, Y pipe and cats. The thing spools way the hell faster and makes more power. I'm sure there is a better cam than that ms3... if you're going stock lq4, I'd run something in the 114-116LSA range with a 230 or so duration, if you can find a 230/224, that would work great for streetability and a ton of power with somewhere close to .600" lift.

I hear ya, those ms3's sound awesome and work like a champ NA. Advice? Don't half *** it. Don't get the stock turbo that comes with the kit, intercooler, meth if you wanna beat on it and don't get greedy. I kept the stock pistons in the lq4, it's a bone stock 6.0l with an ls1 intake on it and a fluid dampener, that's it.

Do you have pics of your set-up installed? What are the specs of the ms3? Thanks in advance...

I actually need to take pics. Haven't really gone anywhere with it, drove from my old apartment to the new house we bought and it's been in the garage ever since. Make some short runs outside our neighborhood on an open street, and that's it. I'll have to take some pics this weekend, should be gettin the charger for my camera anytime now and I'll gettem posted.

I run the MS4 on a 110LSA with my T-70 and I freaking love the hell out of it, everybody says you don't want low lsa but I so far I haven't had any problems so I would say keep the MS3, I have that cam in my other car and I love it too, they both sound mean as hell.

The 112LSA will increase the turbo lag, but the turbo will still work.... and yes, you'll have a nice "big-a$$ cam" sound at idle/low RPM driving. I had a TR224 on a 112LSA and the turbo began to make positive boost around 3400RPM. I have a CC228 on a 115LSA now. It will actually allow the turbo to whistle revving it to 3K in neutral. (the 224 cam would NEVER do that). Positive boost begins around 3K, or 400RPM sooner. I also have the exhaust wrapped, BUT I still have my LT headers, so they are probably cancelling each other out

Hope this helps. Have fun w/ the install.

overlap is the key to the cam.. i have a 219 231 610 601 115lsa and i can make boost in neutral at 3000 rpm . schantin has a more traditional cam spec that is working good on the rear mount kits. i went a little different and im putting down good #s 500rwhp at 9psi through an A4. i ran a TR cheaTR cam for about 6 months before going to this cam and there was a def difference on spool and power.

i got rid of my lts and went stock manifolds. i miss the exhaust note of the lts but i love the boost coming in quicker.
