Default Well, did a little tuning

Had the car tuned yesterday by Jeremy Formato. On the startup tune and 9lb, the first pull was 640ish letting out at 5000. My meth pump wasn't working and this was a pump gas tune, but we continued. Ended up at 13.5lb, 790/810. Jeremy kept the car on the rich side since the meth wasn't working, and the IAT was starting at about 92 ending the the 130ish range. Also worked on the driveability which was pretty bad, now the car drives like a new one. The engine didn't miss a beat, but I do have a exhaust leak at a vband flange, so spool was a little laggy. I'm pleased with the results. I hit the power I was looking for on pump. Once I see how the car handles the power, I'll be back for a race gas tune, then we'll see what it can do.

hi res. streetfire

lo res.

All BMR suspension, 9" rear 3.50 gears, spec 5 clutch, and a stock trans holding on like a mofo. I expect the trans to crap out any day, but it's never been great feeling so I don't mind.

big question for ya.... obviously i can see how the boost comes on in the video.... but when you are on the street,.... does it feel like a dog, and you only get a short window in boost, or is it pretty good and responsive?.... i have a very similar setup in the works and im undecided on an S-series size

I had the cut outs open the whole video I think. The car is pretty quiet with the cutouts closed. The cam is a 230/230 595 113.

As far as spool. I had a pretty good exhaust leak on one of the vbands. You can hear it good on the pull with the engine, so spool was laggy. On the street I'd say it starts building around 3000, and full boost around 3500 or so. I actually like how it spools, it feels nice an smooth, easy on the tires too. From a roll I can brake boost up to about 6lb, then it hits like n2o.

Here is the original post when I finished the car and started it.

Is it just me or are you dealing with some excess smoke? Oil leaking from turbo?

Pretty normal for alot of FI cars ive seen on the dyno...

On the street you cant see a bit of smoke but on the dyno youll see some because you're sitting still.

Yeah some turbo cars suffer from blowby. All depends on the clearence and rings used.
