Default Stock LT1 crank hp level?

355 LT1 block- all new bearings,freeze plugs

I'm up grading to a T-trim and want to push max 10-12psi and have a FMIC. planning on making 500rwhp and wanted to know if i could use my stock crank, stock main caps with ARP studs? LS1 cranks seem to hold up way past that. i'm running forged blower pistons and forged rods.

also two years ago i bought valve springs from combination motor sports and i'm not sure what they are exactly. all i know is that they are ex-612 springs. does that mean anything to anyone? they renamed to NRP and i don't see them on there website. i want to know if these springs are strong enough for my blower setup. are my stock 94 harden pushrods good enough or should i up grade them as well?

I ran 11.5lbs on my T76 on my stock crank, and also sprayed it with A LOT of nitrous when it was the heads/cam 355 setup. 500rwhp I wouldn't be worried about it.

I've been in the 500 rwhp range for 30K =) I'll see if I can find out about those springs. I know a few guys that used to work at combo.

Did you bump your head? It's a factory cast LT1 crank... I wouldn't trust it much over 500hp.

maybe he dont have any detonation... because that is the only thing that is gunna hurt it.

Stock crank is good for tons and tons if you don,t wanna spend a heap on a aftermarket crank for a budget build

Are you serious, I've pushed mine to ~850 crank HP so far, going above that this time though with the turbo setup. I plan on keeping the rpm's down(6300 or less), but the car should go 140+ mph easily.

Yeah, the rpms help a lot, but I said I wouldn't trust it not that it wouldn't handle it. And you could very easily go to 851hp and have it let loose, or have one bad detonation and lose it. Just doesn't leave any margin for error, IMO.

And I just know mine would let loose at the worst time, like at the 140mph mark. I would feel like I was sitting behind a grenade.

GM even went to a nodular iron crank for the LT4 and their HP rating was much more than the LT1.
