Default 2 step ?'s for a m6 car

what are the big differences between the synergy and the lingenfelter? also when you launch off of a 2 step and bog a little will the system go into vacuum or will it stay in boost? i have seen some threads where it looks like you have to switch off the lingenfelter 2 step while your launching, is this true? do you have to do this with all 2 steps?

When the light goes green you turn off the 2 step and go.

I chose the Ling. 2 step. It was a plug and play for me. To many wire's to hook up on the other one. I put mine on a toggle switch, but when you turn it off there is no hesitation, just hang on.

You can't get the LPE unit to turn off with a momentary switch? i.e. clutch switch

Yes,you are supposed to hook it up to the clutch switch,I chose to do it with a toggle so I can activate it driving down the road.

When I intall my launch control, I will be using the factory preset button on my Trans Am's steering wheel, thus to make easy to hold it on and be able to realse it. The only reason I wouldn't say run it to the clutch switch is it could activate in between shifts....

a switch that when you push it.....it makes or breaks contact as required.

The switch closes (or opens) a circuit only when the button is pushed. As soon as you let go it opens (or closes) the circuit.

This may be a dumb question, but why wouldnt you want it to activate thorugh a shift? Seems like if you could power shift (on a limiter) you could keep boost through the shift.

no reason it would do any harm between shifts.
If your foot is on the clutch, it hardly matters if it cuts ign, and as above, can be used to flat shift.

Although with a high likelyhood of breaking traction flatshifting...I wouldnt try it !

I already thought about that....but if I wanted to run a 3 step I would, and plus my launch RPM is going to be lower than my WOT shift. Plus, if that lingenfelter is anything like the MSD two step, once you are above the specified RPM it wont cut, you'd have to drop RPM's and try to tach it back up to activate the two step.....

ok called synergy. trust me. call them. might be hard to hook up. but the way it works is awsome. push botton. let go of button. push clutch in. lauch, then the system resets it's self.

That's how the LPE 2-step works also. Push a button in,floor it,let off the button, hang on! No resetting LPE has a dial indicator you choose your rpm setting and leave it.

no hold button with synergy. just push button. it turns system on. the push in clutch. floor it. then when you release clutch it turns 2-step off
