Default Can anyone overlay some dyno charts or turbo, centrifical and magnacharger....

Anyone good with this was wondering if someone could try to overlay some dyno charts of say a centrifical ,turbo and magnacharger type of super so a person could compare them more easily. I would be curious to see this.I know you can look at one and then another but would be neat to see one on same chart.

yea but all three would need to have close to the same type of base engine to make it a good compare

Tell you what, let's just say stock cubes (meaning 346, sorry LS2 GTO guys) and see how many we can get together. I'll post my T67 front mount, and anybody that wants to can send me (PM) their dynojet file and I'll build the overlays as we go. OK?

Got a little hiccup in this one, but you get the idea:

Thanks R99 that is what I am talking about. Of course best to see comparisons on same engine sizes and similar boost levels and what not but still should be interesting nonetheless. Still it seems even with turbos coming on so strong at pretty low rpm and the centrificals coming on much later in rpm the centrificals still do great at the track. Is it because you can rev them up and keep them up there pretty high so on the track they seem to do about same as the turbos?

Well, the big torque down low means traction can be a problem. When are you going to get your twins installed?

I am hoping to get my new engine done in next few months. Just been assembling parts in preparation. Going with forged 408. Have fast 90 and nw 90 already. Have afr 225s 72cc chambers. Have gt7 lingenfelter cam but might go up to gt11 like aps did in their test mule.
Still need to buy rest of the fuel system too to support my power goals have some 60 pounders for starters.

I go to SIR but have never bothered to take my 99 ta there. I have run my 96z28 though and older 80 400 ta that I had a few years back.
I am currently building a pure track 91 talon awd turbo auto, hoping for 10s with that one. My 99 ta ,my 96z28 and my 97 talon are just going to be wicked street cars. I will likely run them once though and try to get kicked for under 11.5 with the 99 ta and the 97 talon. The 96z28 will be kicked under 13.5 since its a vert. I ran the vert near stock and hit 14.3 best last season. Its very heavy at 3840 race weight. Track is 1600 above sea level.

You know, I'm thinking that lots of guys only have hardcopies of their dyno data. If you want actual files for overlay you might have to ask one of the dyno shops that does a lot of FI... maybe PM Bob at EPP? See if he'd be willing to send some sample stock cube FI files.

This is stock cubes 347, stock ported heads with a F1R through a auto, around 16-18psi as the BOV wouldn't stay shut-it later mode over 900 rwhp/820 rwtq on a Dynocom dyno.

Hmm sounds like allot of fun with allot of cars, you are a lucky man but thats allot on your plate though. We'll have to keep in touch and maybe we can meet up some time. I got a few buddys to go racing with too. Anyways back on track here, I'd really like to see this graph for curiousity Turbo's Rule, LOL

Anyone else have anything for this thread? I'm wanting to go with an F-1a but if I'm convinced I might try a turbo instead...

you would need to overlay similar head units, not just engine type. Same psi, flow, etc etc.

346/stock heads/stock cam/stock manifolds/40-88/7psi/pump gas

346/stock heads/cam/LTs/P1SC/9psi/pump gas

Overlay. You can see how much more TQ and under the cruve power the Turbo car makes.

Quick Reply: Can anyone overlay some dyno charts or turbo, centrifical and magnacharger....
