meth...how do you know if you want/need it
I read the sticky.
But for a pure street use only car, 427ci + S91, how do you go about making the decision to use it or not? Warm weather at sea level.
Could possibly be a 403-408ci too.

So are you saying that you should first built it and get it running, then use a meth kit if your IAT's are too hot?
Why, sometimes IAT's are hot and sometimes they are cooler and a car wouldn't need meth?

It all depends on the application. With a high boost it makes it safer with meth. You could roll with a boost referenced meth injection so its not on all the time. I would think the main factor would be how much boost you want to run.

Factors for determining the right water methanol injection system for your application are:
- Whether it’s naturally aspirated or forced induction
- The type supercharger or turbocharger being used
- Whether it’s equipped with an intercooler or non-intercooled
- Level of boost produced at peak rpm
- Engines current compression ratio
- Type fuel being used. i.e., pump gas, racing fuel, diesel, etc.
- Engines current tune. If ignition timing retard is required to avoid detonation or if the engine must be run excessively rich to avoid detonation
- Type driving/application. i.e., street, towing, drag racing, marine use, etc.
- Available space for mounting the additional container and pump when separate
Certainly there are other factors that can also be considered. However, knowing these main key factors listed above will ultimately help determine which system is right for your application. Lets begin discussing each of these factors and why they matter.
