Converter make car slower form a roll????
hey guys i procharged my ta, when i had stock trans it hated to shift (kept bouncing off the rev limiter) now that i have my tci 3000 and freshley built tranny it seems slower from a roll??? when i raced my buddies modded 06 goat with stock trans i would pull a car right off the bat, bounce off the rev limiter for a couple seconds shift and pull 5 or 6 more, now were damn close from a 60 roll until i hit top of third when boost comes on hard..... any ideas???

Yep, what Bob said. With a bigger stall the car should be flashing right into it's power curve now & SHOULD be faster than before. Unless it's blowing thru the converter.....doesn't act like it's slipping does it?

I had a 3400 stall which I didn't care for. I now run a 2600 and love the way it hits from a roll. I would think the cam is critical to matching the converter so the power band and stall compliment each other.
