Are the threads still good? You should be able to just replace the bolt. Bob

I had mine break in the the bracket not to long ago. Just do what AFASTYZFR1 said to get it out. If you are not comfortable doing it yourself a machine shop can get it done.

If you dont have a spare, i think i have a new tensioner setup from ATI here at the shop.

What bolt broke? The long 9/16 head that pushes the tensioner down?

Let me know asap if we need to get parts for the tune day.

Whoa whoa whoa! No need to drill out and retap if the threads are still good. Just replace the bolt!

Running a tap through the threads to clean them up is not a bad idea. If you do not have a tap and die set, you can rent one from your local auto parts store for a few bucks.

Why would you do that if all the threads are fine tho? And what AFASTYZFR1 was saying was to drill it out and re-tap it for a larger bolt. Again- not necessary unless the threads are messed up.

Yea...only drill it out if threads are damaged....but in my case, they were damaged and sounds like we broke it the same way....

Having a larger bolt will be stronger and I powdercoated the j-bracket while I was at it
