Still at the machine shop but almost done, just waiting on the Vic jr and Katech valves cover to come back from powder coat.

It will be a wet sump with a hydrolic setup for now. Has a callies magnum crank, howards rods, Diamond boost pistons and comp cam speced by Kurt at W2W. This a LSX 427.

Yeppers, thought I would pull it out of the shadows for a minute. I like the powder coated chevy orange color that came on the block .

dan,

Why go with an LSx block and not use 6 bolt heads??
I know ETP only charges $600 more to add then to there heads

I know if u really start to push it with that S91 you are going to lift the heads and push water.

Thanks everyone!

Nasty,

I really wanted to do that, trust me, I knew this question was coming .

I found it (for me) impossible to get a hold of ETP, no return calls or emails. I talked to All-Pro and they were awesome folks there, but I couldn't do the $5700 with the rockers and all the goodies I would need. With the funds I had set aside, I still needed a roll cage and chassis work. I paid $1900 for these heads new in the box, plus I already had them for like a year. I just swapped the exhaust valves for the Ferrea Super alloy valves and went with Ferrea's new double spring to help with open/close pressures.

The plan is in the next year or so, to go solid roller anyway, then I'll look at the 6 bolt heads again and hope there are some more options out there. I will probably have to limit it to around 1000 whp until then and hope it all holds up, should be good for the 8's hopefully.

I bet he won't push water! I don't think we were lifting the heads, I think the cylinders were moving around. I bet the new LSx you can get away with 4 bolts. Andy.
