Default I need model number for new L92 head Diamond Pistons

Afternoon folks!

I've heard on here that Diamond makes a custom piston with valve reliefs for the L92 heads and I was wondering what the number is for them and who's got the best deal. I'm building a 402 for a APS turbo setup I've decided and I already have a brand new 6.0 truck block. I've got a 4 inch scats crank lying around along with some new Manley rods so what the hell I might as well go for it.

By the way what dish is Diamond offering on these new pistons?

Thanks folks,

Jason McD

Call Nick @ Diamond. They will make them any way you want. They are pricey though. Like $800 ish last time I check. Mahle had them on the shelf for $500 ish.

I thought I saw a sheet on here with some that they were making for the L92 heads specific that wouldn't require me to have to custom ones made.

When I talked to them, those pistons were designed around the L92 bore and valve reliefs. To do a 4.030 bore ( or something other than L92 bore) they were considered custom. Now that was a couple of months ago, things might have changed, but give Nick a call. He will spec them out for you and give you an exact price. But I saved a big chunk going with the L92 mahles, you can get those from anyone that is a Mahle dealer, they drop ship right from the factory. Mine are flat tops with -4cc reliefs, My chambers on my cnc L92's are 75cc.

I'm assuming because Diamond makes pistons specifically designed for the L92 heads that it is do to the valve reliefs specifically. Can someone please clarify that for me?

The newer wiseco stuff accepts both an L92 and a traditional cathedral head.
