Default best buy turbo kit for 2002 LS1 Z28?

in the future i was maybe thinking about putting a single turbo setup on my street car..... the motor is stock but later on im sure i will be building it and use forged internals and ect..... i would want a turbo that didnt have a bunch of lag and also something that would work well on a stock car for a few years and also be good enough for 600-800rwhp when i decide to build it....... i guess basicly what is the best bang for the buck with an LS1 turbo kit and one that comes with about everything you need to get it going? i have had a duramax turbo diesel dually but thats about it and i dont know much about the turbos..... thanks for the info! jake

If you're wanting to keep your A/C and wanting to go single I'd probably go with a single Street T76 kit from Turbo Technology Inc. Not the least expensive kit but really good quality material. Or go with the APS Twin Turbo Kit for around the same price.

id vote aps kit. You can hit the numbers you want without much of a problem, and a great price for a twin setup.

You should also check out the OFI kits, as well as Kentucky turbo and performance kits.

The APS kit is probably one of the best kits out there as far as dollar per horsepower. But you will also need another k-member to make it work. the one from BMR is like $500. So APS isn't the cheapest. BUT, the word cheapest shouldn't even be in a turbo builders vocabulary...
