Default TC76 upgrade price?

Dr Turbo or Jz, what would my price be if I were to send you my turbo for an upgraded 78mm compressor wheel and a race cover with 3" outlet? Last I heard you were gonna check back with me on the price to configure a race cover to work on the TC76. How much larger would it make the compressor side since my turbo is mounted where the battery was and there is only about a 1/2 inch on either side of the comressor outlet without having to cut the car? Thanks!!!!

Tell you what...let me get a pic of a race cover beside a TC cover. That will give you an idea if it will fit or not.

I'm ready! If its alot larger I would be willing to make a clean cut there to make it fit since currently I am running full 3" intake piping on my Hi-Flo kit and wouldn't have to use a 2 1/2 inch to 3" coupler there and would be a better straight through connection. The kit was designed around a 3" outlet turbo. Please post a pic and a price since I do know there are quite a few TC customers out there willing to pay the price for the 78MM wheel and race cover upgrade with the red anodized lettering.

How does this effect the performance of the turbo?

I see in your sig btw that your producing about 700whp on the tc76, are you upgrading to the tc78 because you feel your nearing the limits of the 76?

No I can turn up my 76 to around 850 rwhp, but if I upgrade the cover and wheel I should beable to get around 1000 rwhp. Plus it would put out a little more power at the same boost level with the bigger wheel and cover. Maybe like 50-60 rwhp.

Exactly.....the race cover lowers comp wheel discharge temps and allows for more caudal space for the exducer of the comp wheel.

So Dr Turbo how much would I be looking at to put a 78mm wheel on my TC76 and a race cover? You quoted 300 to go to the 78mm wheel how much more would the race cover add? And don't you think the 78mm wheel would really deserve a larger cover rather than stuffing it into the tiny cover? Wouldn't it take better advantage of the 78mm wheel? Thanks

How much we looking at for just the race cover on a TC78 ?

or is it straight bolt-on ?

cheers
