Default My custom alternator relocation bracket (with pics)

Here it is, I've designed and built it. I wanna make sure all the bugs get worked out and I need a donar car to get it done with because mine is in no condition yet to run. It will require a shorter belt though.

Thanks, its a plasma table. My cousin works at a fab shop and they build just about anything you can think of there.

Yeah it clears the hood with no problem but it cant be too much shorter or the back of the alternator will hit the valve cover & the intake manifold. Look at the pic from the passenger's side angle, you can see what I'm talking about.

With the stock tensioner, there is a part that I made that is simple but very effective, basicly it re-clocks the position of the tensioner to put more tension on the belt. I havent posted any pics of it but without it the stock tensioner would just max out.

Thanks. It weighs about 8#, works pretty well. I was going for reliability when I designed it.

So the tensioner in the pics you posted is not how it is now (maybe you have new pics)? I thought looking at the picture that there is very little tension on the belt...
What length belt have you used?
