Default what size turbo?

I will likely be buying a 03 silverado ss awd soon, and will be ordering a kb front mount turbo kit for it. I will eventually have a built 370 in there, but for now it will be a stock 6.0 with a turbo cam, forged pushrods, dual springs, and a carb mani/ elbow. My eventual goals are a dd with around 500 rwhp on low boost (where it will be for some time now until the new motor) and about 7-800 on high boost, and I would be happy with a timeslip that had 10.anything on it, I would not mind getting something that would leave me room to grow, as long as it did not hurt spool time too bad. I was thinking of a tc 78 turbo, but please chime in and let me know what you think.

We did a SSS build with a TC76. No need for the fancy intake or cam either.

This one was a forged 370 with stock heads, ls6 cam and good springs. Made 654whp on pump fuel and meth. with 14psi.

hellbent... how much more do you think the tc 76 had left in it? I would like to see 800 or close to it... and I imagine that is about what it would take to get a SSS in the 10's with it's weight.

The TC76 is a great unit...spools very quick and will make big power. We have had great sucess with them and our customers love them for packaging. They are very compact....

I think you are correct about the power number need to make that pass. We turned it up to 17psi to make a 11.8@119 pass. That was more then likely about 725whp. With 800 and a good launch you should go 123+mph and get a ten. This is the plan for this truck, I am betting about 19-20psi and 800whp will do the trick. BTW it went 12.4@115 with 11psi.
