Default Racetronix 37# injector question

I ordered the Racetronix 37# injectors from Thunder Racing a few months ago. I am finally about to install them but I notice that they say 40lb/hr on the side of them.

Racetronix does not list a 40# injector so I'm wondering what to do.

Also, the injectors don't say Racetronix on them, just Delphi, a part number, and 40 lb/hr.

Not sure if I should use the flow ratings for 37# @ 43.5psi or 40#

Nothing wrong with the Racetronix, but I would recommend some Bosch Design III's. Give FICINJECTORS a look before you make up your mind.

To the OP, do the injectors have a part number on them?

Be careful what you ask for. The industry standard for rating fuel injectors is 3 bar, or 43.5 p.s.i. The LS1 flows at 4 bar, or 58 p.s.i. Some vendors advertise their injectors at 4 bar, which artifically inflates the rating if you are seeking 3 bar numbers for your injectors.
If a vendor is doing this, you can use the calculations at this site: http://www.rceng.com/technical.aspx to change back to the standard 3 bar rating, so you can correctly compare to other injectors.
For example, if a fuel injector were rated at 75 # at 4 bar, the 3 bar rating would actually be 65#, a significant difference.
And if you are seeking an injector rated 69 # at 3 bar, its rating at 4 bar would be almost 80 #.

Caveat emptor (Buyer Beware).

Thunder Racing lists the injectors rather well. It has all the Racetronix info posted on their site as far as the ratings. At 3bar they are 37# and at 4bar they are rated at 43#.

So why then, do they say 40# on the side of the injector? Is that rated at 3.5bar?

I will get the part number off it for you guys when I get to where I'm building the car tonight.

Not sure why the markings are that way. If they are the identical to [135-INJ-621037-8, (-Static Flow Rate: 43.04 lb/hr @ 58.0PSI)] you should consider them to be 43# injectors (for an LS1) and set your injector constant accordingly.
