Default Casper hotwire kit and Walbro 255 pump.

I am just about done with my turbo setup and fixing to order my pump and hotwire kit.

Question : Do I need both the pump and hotwire kit? Currently fuel system is stock.

The Racetronix is a Walbro with perfect fitment and quality.
Same with the Racetronix harness. They are tried and true. Plus
the pump and harness are made for our cars.

Here's the manufactures link.

I will be buying mine from Lonnie's Performance.

I got the Casper hotwire kit when I was doing my fuel pump. One of the connectors was made backwards (the pins were in reverse order) and would not work. I sent it back and got the Racetronics kit.

It works great. No problems after a year of having it on.

Sorry I bought a new kit from a member in the classifieds. It was actually from BMR fabrication.
I couldn't pass up on the deal.

Do you carry fuel pressure guages and adapters that go on the end of the fuel rail ?

I wish i would have read this thread before I installed my Caspers hot wire kit. Now the car will not start!! I think they have the pins backwards in mine too. I am going to have to drop the tank and take it back apart and see if I can figure it out!!!! Freaking caspers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate to admit this but I'm going for the trap door method.

If done correctly, it shouldn't be a problem. If my car was a low mileage
rare collectors edition, I would drop the tank.

With the above said, I admire you for dropping the tank.
( It's really the right way ).
I think I would remove the tank if I had to clean it out.

I am done, found they had pin b and pin a swapped. I dropped the rear mount turbo and the tank, corrected it and put it all back together. It all works now.

This seems to be a problem with the Caspers harness.

At least you got it working. good deal.

You got that tank dropped fast.

Yeh, I am getting pretty good at it, had to do it three times today!!! I also have my three boys helping, they are just learning but make good help.

The plug in that you plug the factory connector into is the one wired wrong. It has two grey wires on the Caspers side. They are pins A and B, apparently they have an idiot installing the pins and they are getting these two backwards. All you have to do is snap the rear peice off the fitting, use a realy small screw driver (like for eye glasses) and you can get the pins to release by pushing the screwdriver threw the center of the pin (opposite the wire side). Then just swap them and put it all back together.

Three times today! hahaha It's always good to have helpers.
Sounds like me with the tranny, I've had that in and out over a half dozen times. Twice in one day a few months ago.

Someone needs to clue Caspers in about thier little epidemic.

It seems n2ocamaro ( one of the posters in this thread ) had the same issue
with his Casper harness.
