Default Fuel Pump Questions

I have a 98 TA with full bolt-ons and a 150 wet kit (Fogger), my question is do I need to upgrade my stock fuel pump? I have been researching the Walbro 255 and for 100$ it seems like it would solve my problem. Thanks for any help you can offer me.

At your power level, it would be a good idea to upgrade.

But the $100 generic pump will likely cause you problems.

There are direct fit pumps that are only slightly more. The Racetronix kits that I sell are complete with the correct mounting, a new fuel sock, all internal wiring (no splicing), plus the correct fuel hose.

Also you should upgrade to a plug-n-play wiring harness to ensure proper voltage to the bigger pump.

I have 98 kits in stock if interested. Feel free to give me a call if I can help.

How much would a racetronix along with the harness be? Im a poor college student so funds are very hard to come by.

Thanks for the PM, right now its looking like I will have to go with the walbro. The problems I have seen so far only occur if you run your tank too low. And I never run it past a quarter tank, so that problem really shouldn't affect me.

Good luck.

I just hope you do not join the many that have pump failures & blown hoses.

I haven't heard of these problems. I just thought the basic pump would suffice because I am done adding power for a long time. I have trouble hooking right now as it is; so next on the list is rear end and suspension.
