Default Will I need new fuel injectors or will my stockers be sufficient?

So after I have the ported heads on and along with my other mods which include ls6 intake and TSP Torquer II cam with all supporting mods will I need bigger injectors or will the stockers keep up? What is the factory injectors lb/hr rating? I know I have been posting alot of different threads over the last couple of weeks, but just want to make sure that my camaro will be on point.Thanks for all the help my fellow LS enthusiasts.

your stock injectors are 28.5# and you will almost certainly need larger ones with good ported heads and a good size cam

I was maxing the stock injectors to 102% duty cycle at 4800rpm after my cam and home ported heads.

Try to find some 36-42# injectors.

Wait til you get it tuned and then see what you need. Greentop 42s are found for cheap and what alot of heads/cam guys go with because of the room to grow they leave you with.

I got white bosch injectors from a supercharged 3.8 Buick/Pontiac on ebay dirt cheap. They are right at 40# at our fuel pressure. I think my peak duty cycle is in the high 50% now last I looked.

I run ported heads and cam and my duty cycle isn't bad on my 28.5 lb injectors...it depends on the tune (mines running rich)

I have a baby cam and I just put hand ported 241 heads on her last night. I ended up throwing on some fast 36lb injectors (the white ones) at the same time. Car runs great. You will need car tuned if upgrading injectors to avoid flooding the plugs as well as better driveablity (can surge and splutter not tuned). As a rule of thumb injectors will handle as below :-

26lb = up to 250rwkw
28lb = up to 280rwkw
36lb = up to 330rwkw
42lb = up to 380rwkw
60lb = up to 460rwkw
80lb = over 500rwkw

Hope this helps.

Racetronix are very popular, but they might cost more though.

I ran a set of TSP stage 1 243 heads,TV2 cam and a LS6 intake on my 98 and the stock 28.5# injectors were fine. Only after I went to Fast 90/90 setup did I go to 42#s. You won't know until your tuner tells you for sure!

Right...the 28.5 are pretty good until u get Aftermarket heads and a fast intake, u don't need more fuel until u have a lot more air ( heads an intake)
