96 camaro with a LS1 swap. Injector stuck open. HELP!
Well. As stated. It is a 96 camaro with an ls1 swap. Hydrolocked the 1st ls1 motor and cracked the block. This was the first attempt to turn the motor over.
Fast forward to a new block and now find out, An injector is stuck on. Just 1. It is the front passenger side. Swapped injectors and same problem. Same one leaks, Front passenger. Swapped electrical connections and the leaking injector now followed the electric connection... This is only when the key is turned on or cranking.
Wasn't sure if maybe was a short, So I cut the wire just off the computer and jumped a new wire to the injector.. Same problem. The constant power to the injector is being ground through the computer all the time. I checked continuity. And the blk/grn wire has perfect continuity to a ground. But no other injector has that.
Thought maybe it was a bad computer, so swapped that out for another....and same damn problem. Injector remains open.
any help/suggestions are appreciated!!! Thanks

Check for short to ground in wire going between injector and PCM... (I know you replaced this, but check it again)...
key on engine off, check the voltage on both terminals of that injector, should both be at battery voltage.

Guys, I bought my car a year ago. It misfired badly 5-6 times but 4 of them came back nicely and my car was running well. It took my attentian that my car misfires when it is cold, humid, raining or going through the bump. And when it misfires badly, my batterry drain out !!! And only misfires cylinder 1,3 and 5 (bank 1) . The dealership said that the injectors are stock open and we need to replace them !!!! Guys, I think something electrical such as bad ground etc... please let me know your ideas because the dealership asks for $1900 to replace the 3xinjectors + 6xspark plugs... but I don’t know if these are thecreal problem !!!!

Sounds like the insulation of the harness wires is chaffed, letting the copper wire short out on the engine somewhere...
looks like you're going to have to unravel that part of the harness and carefully inspect it.
