Default sealed wiring entry to tank ?

Just wondering what people are using ? With people using 2 and 3 pumps and now these new 340 Walbro's that draw huge amounts of current.

What connectors are people using to provide power to these pumps inside the tank ?

A single 340 can easily draw around 20A depending on how hard it's pushed.

I dont see anything generic ( or OEM ) that could be used for 2 or 3 internal pumps that could draw in excess of 30A ?

Ive no interest in re-wire kits etc thanks.

Just curious as to what connectors there are for carrying high current into a sealed fuel tank.

Yup, something like that would be ideal. Cheers

Those things allow gas to wick up and out of the wire in the tank. The gas goes right between the strands and comes out in the connector. If you do use something like that make sure you solder a connection to each wire inside the tank and use some shrink-wrap that also seals.

Yes, but it does still provide 4 power supplies rated at 14A continuous each

I'm assuming that's more substantial than an OEM part ?

Just looking for neat options for a custom fuel cell that might run 2-3 internal pumps. But the connector must be fully sealed.

on the G8 boards is a vendor who has a 6-pin connector. they had this to say about it:
- I use nice high quality Amphenol connectors on the fuel pumps. I don't use those cheap-o junk ones that come with the Walbro pumps. The pigtails that come with the Aeromotive pumps are the same thing as what I'm using, very nice. I'm also using Amphenol connectors on the pigtail coming out of the tank. Pins are replaceable with a simple screwdriver should something ever happen
- My wires are sealed so gas cannot "migrate" through the wire
it's not listed on their site anymore, but was... under "40 AMP Gas Tank Electrical Feed Through - $89.00" under part number 6pinfeedthro and came with, "1 Sealed Tank feed-through, 1 6061 Al weld ring for 2 inch hole, 1 Retainer screw, 1 Buna-N o-ring, 1 Female 6-pin connector for outside the tank with 6" of high quality 14 gauge wire pigtail, 1 Female 6-pin connector for inside of the tank with 6" of high quality 14 gauge Teflon insulated high temp wire"

their site also said this
This unit has 6 conductors each capable of 40 amps. No that's not a misprint, 40 amps.

I wouldnt consider them "baby" wires and it's a universal fuel tank wire bulkhead solution used on a many EFI tanks, not limited to LS1 f-body

Can just bolt through a ground stud if need be. That's easy to seal. It's just the live wire entry that's awkward.

We still will sell that combo if you want it but there is no chance of it ever fitting on a stock fuel hat... It's a pretty large unit.
